Obama: I heart unscientific polls!

This completely unscientific little web poll on CNN.com made me smile:

If you live in a state that is holding primaries today (Maryland, Virgina, D.C.) get out and vote, if your state has a primary coming up soon spread the word!

If you believe that America has seen better days and is in dire need of help why not donate a little scratch to the campaign? No matter how much or little you donate (I try to give $5-$10 a week) it helps build momentum for the one candidate who can bring us all together for a brighter tomorrow. Do your part to bring an FDR/JFK Democrat back to the White House!

Much Ado About Huckabee

I was nervous about Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee after I saw his performance on the YouTube Debate last week. He was easygoing, straightforward, funny, and likable. So likable that for a while I forgot about Matt Taibbi’s article in Rolling Stone last month that breaks past his personality and discusses his politics. And an article in Salon about his conduct as governor of Arkansas. This made me even more nervous.

Because, really when’s the last time the American public didn’t elect the more charming of the two (or three) candidates? Not since I’ve been alive, at least. Even when the things they believe are terrible and completely out of touch, we’re convinced they’ll make the right choices because they come across as nice guys. No wonder there’ve been so many Huckabee-Reagan comparisons.
