Formed in a tiny Brooklyn apartment by Kindercore co-founder Dan Geller, I am the World Trade Center started in 1999 when Geller joined forces with then girlfriend Amy Dykes. The two developed a catchy electropop sound that reminisced the 80s sounds of Blondie, New Order and Depeche Mode and updated them for the next century. Years of relentless touring and 3 releases documented the rise and fall of their turbulent relationship and the trials of living with the most controversial band name in recent history.
