Back in 2000 we were able to find a little bit of channeled Athens, GA pop genius hidden away in the far off land of Vancouver, BC. It came to us in the form of Terry Miles, the talent behind Ashley Park. While Ashley Park's sound had a lot in common with the 60s retro pop coming out of our home town at the time, Miles was able to filter it though a unique Canadian sensibility to produce one of the most lush and beautiful releases in the catalog. Fans of Belle and Sebastian's Sinister era pop and the 60s obsessed will all be thoroughly delighted by Ashley Park's Kindercore release Town and Country.
